WORKSHOPS
The workshops are intended for everyone who would like to learn about both manual design and jewelry making, as well as upgrade their existing knowledge.
You will learn about the materials (different types of metals, decorative and precious stones) used to make precious jewelry. You will learn about the hand tools, machines and devices needed in jewelry making and various design processes.
The workshops are held individually, with two mentors present to guide a maximum of three participants. In all workshops, except when learning how to forge stones, you design your own product.
According to your wishes, you can choose the material (silver and white, yellow or red gold) and the desired precious or decorative stones.
1. WIDE ORGANIC RING:
No prior knowledge is necessary.
1.1. ORGANIC RING - WIDE:
Duration: approx. 4 h
In this workshop, you will learn about material preparation (alloying, melting, rolling), shaping the material into the desired shape and finishing processes. The main design techniques are reticulation and melting the material in to the desired organic form.

1.2. ORGANIC RING WITH A STONE:
Duration: approx. 8 h
In this workshop, you will learn about material preparation (alloying, melting, rolling), shaping the material into the desired shape and finishing processes. The main design techniques are reticulation and melting the material in to the desired organic form. You will learn how to make a smooth bezel setting and how to set the stone in it.
Price: 400 euros + selected material (silver and zircons are included in the price)
1.3. WIDE ORGANIC RING WITH GRANULATION:
Duration: approx. 6 h
In this workshop, you will learn about material preparation (alloying, melting, rolling), shaping the material into the desired shape and finishing processes. The main design technique is granulation.

2. TEXTURED RING:
No prior knowledge is necessary.

Duration: approx. 4 h
In this workshop, you will learn about material preparation (alloying, melting, rolling), shaping the material into the desired shape and finishing processes. The main technique is forging with different tools. You will be able to choose your own texture.

3. MINIMALIST RING WITH GRANULATION:
No prior knowledge is necessary.
3.1. RING WITH GRANULATION OF DIFFERENT DIMENSIONS:
Duration: approx. 4 h
In this workshop, you will learn about material preparation (alloying, melting, rolling), shaping the material into the desired shape and finishing processes. The main design techniques are reticulation and granulation.

3.2. RING WITH GRANULATION AND STONE:

3.3. SET OF TWO RINGS WITH GRANULATION:
Duration: approx. 6 h
Description: In this workshop, you will learn about material preparation (alloying, melting, rolling), shaping the material into the desired shape and finishing processes and the harmonious formation of the two rings into a set.. The main design techniques are reticulation and granulation.

4. RING WITH EXPERIMENTAL MELTING OF THE MATERIAL :
Knowledge of how to use the fire is necessary. If you wish to attend this workshop and have no experience with the fire, you must attend one of the workshops, which do not require any previous experience.
4.1. NARROWER RING WITH RANDOM MELTING OF MATERIAL, approx. 5 mm:

The focus is on the precise use of the fire and on the design of the piece itself. You will learn how to make a prong setting and how to set a stone in it.

4.3. WIDER RING WITH RANDOM MELTING OF THE MATERIAL, approx. 10 mm:

4.4. WIDER RING WITH RANDOM MELTING OF THE MATERIAL AND A STONE, approx.10 mm:

5. STONE SETTING:

5.1. SETTING STONES IN A BEZEL SETTING (ROUND, SQUARE, MARQUISE):
No prior knowledge is necessary.
Duration: approx. 4 h
In this workshop you will learn how to prepaire a smooth bezel setting for stones (shaping the seat, outer bezel facets and corners), how to set the stone in it and how to finish the setting. You will set round, square and marquise stones. You will learn about the tools needed for this procedure, working with a microscope and power tools. You will also learn how to make small tools to help you set stones.

5.2. SETTING STONES IN A PRONG SETTING (ROUND, SQUARE, MARQUISE):
No prior knowledge is necessary.
Duration: approx. 4 h
In this workshop you will learn how to prepaire a prong setting for stones (shaping the seat and corners), how to set a stone in it and how to finish the setting. You will set round, square and marquise stones. You will learn about the tools needed for this procedure, working with a microscope and power tools. 5.3. PAVE SETTING
Prior knowledge of stone setting is required. If you would like to attend this workshop and you have no experience with setting the stones, you must first attend one of the stone setting workshops, where no prior knowledge is required.
Duration: approx. 10 h (the workshop takes place over two days)
In this workshop you will learn how to sort stones on surface, how to prepare fine tools, how to cut material with a pneumatic knife and the correct process of pavé setting. You will learn about the tools needed for this procedure, working with a microscope and power tools. You will also learn how to make small tools to help you set stones.
Price: 530 euros + selected material (silver and zircons are included in the price)

The workshops take place in the studio of Atelje DR Jewelry, at Adamičeva cesta 30 in Grosuplje, Slovenia.
